How Much do Track Days Cost??

I have created this page to give an idea of how much a track day really costs. I have taken into account Brakes, Tyres, the cost of the Track day and fuel, including getting to and from the event. I have broken break this down to a per circuit cost. If you have a weak heart I suggest not reading the findings of this page!! Note : all the travelling costs are from Bracknell.

Assumptions made:
Travelling mpg = 22 (Measured from the last trip to Rockingham, and I was taking it easy!!!)
Track mpg = 12 (Measured from the last trip to Rockingham)
Front pads last 3 events and cost £50
Rear pads last 4 events and cost £50
Tyres last 10 events and cost £350 (for 5 Yokohama A539's which are rotated regularly)
Therefore Consumables cost = £64 per event
Assuming 6 x 20 minute sessions for the whole day which is about 150 miles = £42
Track cost does not include costs for extra drivers or passengers
Cost for a litre of fuel is 76.9 pence

So as you can see it's not a cheap hobby to have and is much better when you can split the costs out. Obviously if you have more sessions or open pitlane then the costs are going to go up quickly ........ but then so does the fun!!!
