After a spot of breakfast it was off at 8am. We had quite a lot of ground to cover and also 2 military check points to get through. We can
make good speed across the salt lakes, approx 50mph and we pick up the 2004 Paris Dakar route on the way to the town of Tata. We stop just
short of Tata in a deserted Palmery and set up camp here. A giant pot of veggie pasta cooked up feeds plenty of people followed by a few beers
and a bottle of whisky that was intended to make the military check points a little easier but wasnt needed!
