These pages are the photos from our 4x4 tour of Morocco through the Atlas mountains, the Sahara, the Atlantic coast and finally to Marrakech.
This was the first time we had done a trip like this before and Hazel was a little nervous about the amount of driving. We both agree that
it was a totally awesome trip and I'd recommend it to anyone! |

Below is a map of the route we took, although hiring the vehicle we met the group in the market town of Azrou and left them after
Essaouira when we headed east to Marrakech. The trip was booked through Trailmasters
who have been doing these trips to Morocco for over 20 years. They have various routes depending on the time of year and they have
a Moroccan guide, Hassan, who has been working with them for over 20 years. If anyone wants to see Morocco, or wants a huge off road
holiday then I thoroughly recommend Trailmasters. Everything was well organised and it was a fantastic way to see many different aspects of Morocco.
We enjoyed the fact that everything was hassle free and all the help with purchasing food in markets, ordering coffees and lunches, organising quads bike trips
and camel rides etc
Click here to see a short movie when we entered the Sahara.

We were met at the airport by the porter from our hotel, Dar Roumana, which is a beautiful Dar in
the Medina in Fes (totally recommended whether you are doing a 4x4 trip or just a few days in Fes). After a few minor communication issues and the fact we were
staying in the totally pedestrian Medina, which Jennifer (the owner of Dar Roumana) helped us out with her fluent Arabic, the car was delivered to us.
