Progress

My progress so far .....

I planted the seeds into small seeding pots and put them on a tray into the airing cupboard.

I checked them every day and watered them as required. In the airing cupboard I covered the trays with cling film to keep the moisture in.

As the seedlings poked through I put them in front of the patio doors to try to get as much light as possible but keep them in the warmth of the house.

I have about 30 seedlings that have come up over the last couple of weeks, about 15 from seeds from the chilies I dried out and 15 from the seeds from the envelope that I have had for 6 months. I think the reason not so many grew from the seeds is because they were kept for so long, but I have a couple of each so as long as I get some fruit from them I can plant more next year :o)

Here's on I did earlier! A friend gave me a plant last year and I made the mistake of having it on a window sill. Whilst the plant grew quickly it didn't grow leaves on one side! What I should have done is rotated the plant at least every day. What I will do when it gets warmer is move the plant outside so it can hopefully re grow on the blank side!

I rotate the seedlings every day and will do so every day whilst they are indoors, which they will be until the summer.

PS Ignore the wheels in the garden in the background, you'll have to see my other sites for an explanation!
